When a working-age patient has radicular leg pain, posterior disc bulge on MRI carries real statistical weight — but when the complaint is purely local axial back pain, don't anchor to degenerative MRI findings; this study shows that local LBP is unrelated to disc degeneration grade and is far more influenced by occupational exposures like whole-body vibration and dynamic physical work.
