This prospective double-blind RCT tested subacromial triamcinolone (40 mg/mL) versus lidocaine-only injection in 40 patients with confirmed subacromial impingement syndrome. All patients also received standardized physical therapy. The study asked whether corticosteroid adds meaningful benefit beyond local anesthetic alone.
